Please note that in all future correspondence except SWIFT the sign "ampersand" should be used in the bank name instead of "and".

2. INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS

Treasury/Correspondent Banking function of Erste and Steiermaerkische Bank d.d. will be centralized in Zagreb.

3. SWIFT ADDRESS AND BILATERAL KEY EXCHANGE (BKE)

The existing SWIFT BIC code ESBCHR22 of Erste and Steiermaerkische Bank d.d. Zagreb will continue to be used for the merged bank.
Riječka banka SWIFT BIC code RBRIHR2X will be deactivated with effect from
2 August, 2003 at 16:00 GMT.

Accordingly, we request all correspondents to direct SWIFT messages meant for RBRIHR2X to ESBCHR22 as of 1 August, 2003.

The correspondents of Riječka banka d.d. which currently have keys arrangements with RBRIHR2X and not with ESBCHR22 will be contacted to set up pre-agreements with ESBCHR22.

4. TEST KEYS

If you currently have test keys with Erste and Steiermaerkische Bank d.d. Zagreb, please retain these keys and they remain effective after August 1, 2003.

If you have test keys with both Erste and Steiermaerkische Bank d.d. Zagreb and Riječka banka d.d. Rijeka, please terminate and destroy the Riječka banka keys, and use only Erste and Steiermaerkische Bank d.d. keys starting from 1 August, 2003.

Where test keys exist only with Riječka banka d.d. Rijeka, please retain these keys and rename them to Erste and Steiermaerkische Bank d.d. Rijeka starting from 1 August, 2003.

5. AUTHORIZED SIGNATURES

The current list of authorized signatures for Erste and Steiermaerkische Bank d.d. and Riječka banka d.d. will continue to be valid until 1 August, 2003 unless you have been notified otherwise.
Please be advised that the merged bank will not publish and distribute list of authorized signatures as of 1 August, 2003. On your request we shall be pleased to confirm authenticity of signatures on our letters and documents by SWIFT.
Accordingly we shall also request verification of your signatures by SWIFT.

6. YOUR ACCOUNT WITH US (VOSTRO ACCOUNTS)

There is no change in the account number if you maintain account with Erste and Steiermaerkische Bank d.d. Zagreb.

If you maintain an account with Riječka banka d.d. Rijeka a new account number will be allocated to you for use effective 1 August, 2003. A separate advice on the new account number will be sent to you.

If you maintain accounts with both Erste and Steiermaerkische Bank d.d. Zagreb and Riječka banka d.d. Rijeka, your account with Riječka banka d.d. will be closed on
31 July, 2003 and the balances will be transferred to your account with Erste and Steiermaerkische Bank d.d. Rijeka with effect from 1 August, 2003.

7. OUR ACCOUNT WITH YOU (NOSTRO ACCOUNTS)

If only Erste and Steiermaerkische Bank d.d. Zagreb maintains an account with you, please rename the account to Erste and Steiermaerkische Bank d.d. Rijeka with effect from 1 August, 2003.

If only Riječka banka d.d. Rijeka maintains an account with you, please rename the account to Erste and Steiermaerkische Bank d.d. Rijeka with effect from 1 August, 2003.

If both Erste and Steiermaerkische Bank d.d. Zagreb and Riječka banka d.d. Rijeka maintain account with you, you are requested to close the account of Riječka banka d.d. Rijeka and transfer the balance to Erste and Steiermaerkische Bank d.d. Rijeka with effect from 1 August, 2003.

We will contact you separately in due course.

8. STANDARD SETTLEMENT INSTRUCTIONS (SSI)

For both commercial transactions and foreign exchange/money market transactions will be advised separately.

9. COUNTERPARTY LINES

Should you have any trade/foreign exchange/money market etc. lines for both Erste and Steiermaerkische Bank d.d. Zagreb and Riječka banka d.d. Rijeka, please merge the lines for Erste and Steiermaerkische Bank d.d. Rijeka from 1 August, 2003.

10. FINANCIAL MARKETS TRANSACTIONS

As of 1 August, 2003 our Treasury Division (dealing room) will exclusively operate under the name of Erste and Steiermaerkische Bank d.d. Rijeka and will be centralized in Zagreb. Transactions entered into by any of the two banks will be assumed by the merged bank.

The transactions with settlement date prior to 1 August, 2003 should be settled as previously agreed.

The transactions with settlement date on or after 1 August, 2003 should be settled in favour of Erste and Steiermaerkische Bank d.d. Rijeka, SWIFT address: ESBCHR22.

11. DOCUMENTARY CREDIT, GUARANTEES AND COLLECTION ITEMS

All obligations such as letters of credit, standby letters of credit, guarantees and collection items issued, confirmed or sent by both Erste and Steiermaerkische Bank d.d. Zagreb and Riječka banka d.d. Rijeka prior to 1 August, 2003 will remain valid. Please change your records to reflect the name change to Erste and Steiermaerkische Bank d.d. Rijeka.

If not other otherwise stated, any collections or mailed documentary letters of credit or letters of guarantee for the merged bank after 1 August, 2003 should be addressed as follows:
