International Desk

Erste Bank's International Desk is a part of the network of Erste Group’s International Desk, conceived as a point of first contact for information related to cross-border business in the geographical area of work of the entire Erste and Sparkasse Group.


International Desk provides general information about the Erste and Sparkasse Group as well as support to all business clients related to inquiries about a specific market and Erste and Sparkasse Group banks, services and products with mediation in exchange for contacts.


International Desk support services include:

  • Support for all banking areas related to your commercial business (such as account opening, financing, issuing guarantees etc.)
  • Advisory support related to establishment of a company or branch in a foreign market;
  • Advisory support related to regulatory requirements and legislation in foreign markets;

  • Support regarding the availability of important documents or forms;

Transaction Banking Competence Centre

From a historical, traditional and business perspective, the markets of the countries of Southeast Europe are interconnected in several ways, thus providing the possibility of synergy in planning and doing business in an area with a population of more than 20 million.

In 2016 Erste Bank recognized this opportunity for its clients, especially in the transaction banking segment, and launched the Transaction Banking Competence Center as a coordinator of six regional Erste and Sparkasse Group banks in Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro and Northern Macedonia.

The Transaction Banking Competence Center, in coordination with the International Desk group platform, represents an additional support mechanism for you as an Erste Bank client through special focus on:

  • Regional cross-border business support for integration of your group of companies into Erste and Sparkasse banking groups network, with special emphasis on the advantages that such integration provides in the area of payment transactions;
  • Support related to regional cross-border trade and export financing, as well as commercial transaction financing including your regional customers and suppliers ("supply chain finance");
  • Support related to transaction banking products in all regional markets, with the goal of achieving a harmonized optimal level of professional and competent financial services for you, regardless of the listed markets you operate in.
