Presentation of the workshop Acting and the Eternal Return to its Basics with Bogdan Diklic at the helm
Zagreb, 26 June 2015 – Acting and the Eternal Return to its Basics, the workshop that will take place in Puricani near Bjelovar under the leadership of actor Bogdan Diklic 7-22 August, was presented today in cooperation with project partner Erste Bank. The workshop is designed as a two-week intensive course for actors, students and professionals where they will perfect and upgrade their existing theoretical and practical acting skills under professional guidance.
Interested attendants are welcome to apply on the website www.koreut.hr by sending their brief CVs by 15 July 2015. A maximum of 12 attendants will be selected based on their previous knowledge, experience and motivation. In addition to workshop leader Bogdan Diklic, Bobo Jelcic, Boro Stjepanovic, Darko Novalic and Helena Petkovic, the head of the Koreut Art Association, which is organising the workshop, will work with the attendants in the capacity of lecturers. The workshop will comprise three units: scene activity and its drivers, role and scene speech. Each unit is divided into several subunits and contains exercises and practical assignments. The workshop aims to establish a platform for the development of young talents and to upgrade the existing skills of theatre professionals.
The project is organised with the support of Erste Bank, which traditionally supports cultural projects. In addition to covering various cultural events on its website Urbanka.hr, this year Erste again organised its traditional contest Erste fragmenti, in which it buys the works of young authors still unknown to the general public. The bank bought a total of 154 art pieces (paintings, sculptures, photographs) in 11 years of holding the contest. The Bank also supports other cultural projects such as Festival malih scena, Osorske glazbene veceri, Crtani romani sou etc. The Bank supported various humanitarian, cultural and sports projects with close to HRK 8.5 million in 2014.
