Applications accepted for Erste bank’s professional student training “General Rehearsal”
Zagreb, 1 March 2016 – From today to 30 April applications are accepted to the professional student training programme organised by Erste banka, “General Rehearsal”. All excellent regular first year graduate or final year pre-graduate economics students from Zagreb and Rijeka may apply. Apart from the educational part, which consists of lectures and soft skills training, the traineeship also includes work with a mentor and engagement in the regular work of the Bank’s organisational units. Erste banka has been running this programme for the second straight year, in order to enable students to apply their knowledge in economics in the Bank’s business environment.
Following the selection process, ten best applicants will approach the training. This year’s professional traineeship will take place during the three summer months, from 15 June to 15 September 2016, for 40 hours a week. Students will also receive a fee of HRK 1,600. Students will complete the training in Erste banka in Zagreb or in Rijeka, depending on their place of study.
"This programme aims at providing the best students with a comprehensive insight into the real business life. This implies a good mentor, practical work and first small, yet real responsibilities. I believe professional training programmes are necessary in today’s ever-changing world of business and are invaluable for their future,” says Maja Crnjak, Erste banka HR Director.
Seven students from the Faculty of Economics and Business in Zagreb participated in the first edition of the programme last year, and most of them stayed with the Bank. This year the programme expands to Rijeka and other schools of economics in Zagreb and Rijeka.
Economics students in Zagreb and Rijeka may submit their applications from 1 March to 30 April to generalnaproba@erstebank.com. They need to enclose their resume, graduate record and certificate on registered student status, and write an essay entitled “The achievement I’m most proud of”.
