After Erste banka signed an agreement with the City of Zagreb, there are now a total of 58 towns across Croatia where, in cooperation with the company Infoart, the bank has made it possible for users to pay for parking using the Keks Pay mobile app, without incurring any additional fees. This is a special functionality of the Keks Pay app which allows users to pay for parking or buy the daily or monthly parking tickets for all public car parks in a way that is fast, simple and does not incur additional costs. Although this is Erste banka's mobile app, any user can use Keks Pay to pay for parking, regardless of which bank they hold an account with.

To pay for parking using Keks Pay, the user simply needs to select the "Pay for Parking" option in the main menu and, if using the app for the first time, enter the registration plate number and the model of the car. The user can then select the option "Locate Me" and the app will chose the parking zone on its own by using advanced geolocation via GPS. After selecting the desired parking duration, the user needs to merely tap on the slider on the screen to pay. Afterwards, the app reminds users when the parking will expire, regardless of whether they have internet access at that time, and it also allows them to purchase daily, weekly and monthly parking tickets. To avoid having to input registration plate number every time, the app allows users to store information for one or more cars.

"The goal that we are trying to achieve with Keks Pay is primarily to make everyday life easier for users. This was the case when we were developing the app, and it also serves as our guiding principle whenever we upgrade it. In addition to allowing users to pay for parking without additional fees, this functionality offers numerous other advantages over alternative forms of paying for this service, such as the automatic geolocation in a specific zone, which makes it significantly easier for users to pay while also lowering the possibility of making a mistake when paying for parking. In addition, when developing this functionality we paid particular attention to user experience, which is excellent, without any unnecessary steps in the entire process", said Dejan Donev, head of the Digital Transformation Team at Erste banka.

"I would like to thank our colleagues from Inforart who helped us to implement this project, because 58 towns were connected to Infoart's IGEUS platform which aims to integrate the sales/payment channels with service providers. We hope that this service will make all towns, from Zagreb onward, more accessible to drivers regardless of which town they come from, and that this type of digital parking payment service will establish a new standard in Croatia and beyond, similar to how the SMS parking payment service did the same 20 years ago."Igor Strejcek, Head of Direct Channels Division at Erste banka.

Keks Pay app allows fast and secure sending and receiving of money among people who know each other, without any fees. Since it introduced the app late last year, Erste banka has recorded 62,000 active users, 75% of whom are clients of other banks while the remaining 25% hold an account with Erste banka. The app is the first banking solution on the Croatian market that is aimed at all interested users, regardless of which bank they hold an account with.

The app has shown itself to be an ideal solution for many situations that involve the pooling of funds. So far, around 50 million worth of transactions has been initiated, with the average transaction value of around HRK 45. The app is free and available on both Android and iOS, and the daily limit on transactions is HRK 2000 per person, or HRK 4000 for Erste banka's clients.
