Zagreb, 13 March 2019 - Erste banka has lowered interest rates on new home loans with a currency clause pegged to the euro, as well as on HRK home loans, by 0.17% on average. As a result, interest rates on new home loans available to Erste banka's clients now range from 2.9% to 4.75%, depending on the client's creditworthiness, the type of home loan and the type of interest rate. With regard to loans with variable interest rates, this decrease affects the fixed portion of interest rates, that is, the decrease is not a result of the regular adjustments arising from changes in the variable portion of interest rates (EURIBOR, NRS). The decrease affects loans with fixed and variable interest rates, as well as loans with combined interest rates.

Erste banka is also lowering interest rates on new cash loans with variable interest rates and a currency clause pegged to the euro by 0.5 pp. In addition, the bank is introducing another benefit for clients paying off loans: in case the client obtains an energy certificate during the loan repayment period, proving that the property for which the loan was granted is in a higher energy grade (A+, A, B and C), the interest rate on the loan that the client is paying off will be lowered by an additional 0.2 pp.

During the first two months of 2019, Erste banka recorded a modest growth of new home loans. A total of HRK 146.1m of new home loans was granted, which is 3.5% more compared to HRK 141.2m granted in the same period last year.
