EBC’s macro analysts are this year’s winners of the award for best macro forecasts in Croatia in 2020, presented by UK's prestigious Focus Economics, the leading provider of economic analysis services and forecasts for 131 countries in Africa, Asia, Europe, Middle East and America. Apart from being the best and most accurate forecasters in Croatia, among nearly 20 teams of analysts, Erste bank Croatia analysts were also the runners-up in Serbia.
On top of this, EBC macro analysts made it to the top 3 in three of the six separate categories (GDP, inflation, exchange rate, interest rate, fiscal balance and current account balance). They won the second place in the inflation category and two third places, in interest rate and current account balance categories. In Serbia, the second place overall was also complemented by two additional top 3 rankings – No. 3 in forecast quality in GDP and inflation segments.
