Erste banka made a donation of HRK 100,000 to the Bjelovar General Hospital, seeking to improve primary healthcare for female patients in Bjelovarsko-bilogorska County. The Hospital will use this donation to buy a new gynaecological ultrasound machine for the Gynaecology and Obstetrics Ward in the first quarter of 2022.
“With the new gynaecological ultrasound machine, we will be able to provide our patients with an even higher level of primary healthcare in gynaecology. This donation is especially important to us because this year has been one of the hardest for the Bjelovar General Hospital due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the substantial expenses we had for medical equipment and supplies. I would like to point out that all our staff put a maximum effort in treating our patients and protecting their health, and that the increased work burden resulted in increased costs compared to two years ago”, said Sanela Grbaš Bratković, MD, Acting Director of the Bjelovar General Hospital.

Erste banka has had a successful cooperation with the Hospital for years, seeking to improve healthcare quality for the citizens in Bjelovarsko-bilogorska County, and has donated a total of more than HRK 1.5 million to the Hospital for various purposes since 2010.
