Erste Bank has abolished the maintenance fee for its Erste Cashtag HRK and FX current accounts for minors, which used to be HRK 4 per month, the same as the maintenance fee for the Erste Club package for young persons between 16 and 26 years of age. Erste Cashtag is intended for regular financial operations of children from the early years to the age of 18, allowing them to receive and dispose of their monthly allowance and savings interest. Children and youths will also get cards with their own name so they could use funds on their accounts. Accounts are contracted by parents or other legal representatives (guardians) in a bank branch. For clients who are 16 years or older it is also possible to sign up for online banking services (Net Banking and mBanking), through which they can check the status of their accounts at any time. Clients may use the benefits of the current account for minors until they turn 18; after that it becomes a regular current account.
The maintenance fee for the Erste Club youth package, which used to be HRK 4 per month, was also abolished, the same as the HRK 4 monthly fee for the current account maintenance as part of the package, and clients may separately request such an account. Erste Club package is intended for young person between 16 and 26 years of age who make money from independent work (student contracts, honorariums, stipends, copyright fees). In addition to a giro and current account, it also includes online banking services - Erste NetBanking and mBanking. By signing up for the current account, clients also qualify for current account overdraft, in accordance with their income. The users of Erste Club packages may also benefit from various discounts provided by the Bank’s partners.
"Erste Bank has been continuously keeping up with the needs of young people, adapting its tailor-made products accordingly. An example of this is the elimination of fees for Erste Cashtag and Erste Club packages for young persons who are entering the world of finance by receiving their allowances or first income from employment. It should be noted that the current account for minors also presents a great advantage for parents, as they can activate a standing order for their child’s account for monthly allowance payments, money for trips and other occasions, free of any charges,” points out Ivana Šimunić, Head of the Directorate in the Retail Development Sector at Erste banka.
In addition to these products, children and young persons can also use other savings and credit products by Erste banka, such as Medo Štedo teen term savings, Erste Club savings and Erste Club education loans for young persons between 16 and 26 years of age.
